12-million Canadians use public transit on a regular basis.  Typical transit riders are the ‘working Joes’, youth, immigrants and in most major centres – business transit users.  Over 80% of these transit riders are un-churched, and most have never read a verse from the Bible.

Bus Stop Bible Studies uses standard advertising display panels inside public transit vehicles across Canada to post encouraging and challenging Bible verses addressing everyday life issues.

In the spring of 2008, illustrating the potential impact in a community, churches and individuals across the city sponsored fifty percent of the TTC’s fleet of 2,500 vehicles carrying an interior advertising panel quoting one of more than 200 different Bible verse selections posted on the Bus Stop Bible Studies’ website. Every day there were over 600,000 impressions or readings of a Bus Stop Bible Study.

Bus Stop Bible Studies has the right, guaranteed by the Supreme Court of Canada, and the opportunity, to expand into all 120 public transit systems and their 12,000 vehicles.

Bus Stop Bible Studies seeks individuals and churches to invest in influencing the lives of 12-million regular Canadian transit users, one bus ride at a time.

On December 6, 2006, Bus Stop Bible Studies placed the first studies on the 260 buses running out of the Toronto Transit Commission's Malvern garage (520 panels in total).
Since then Bus Stop Bible Studies have been placed inside public transit vehicles in Burlington, North Bay, Sudbury and Toronto, ON, and Calgary, AB., resulting in more than one half-billion individual impressions to date.

The mission of Bus Stop Bible Studies is to present the Word of God to the general public, in the form of Bible studies, using advertising panels inside buses, LRT (Light Rapid Transit), subway cars, and similar mediums.

Bus Stop Bible Studies will present God's Word in a clear and concise manner, challenging the reader to think about what they have read by posing thoughtful, searching questions.

Through the use of our website and volunteer follow-up, we wish to provide encouragement and direction to those who are impacted by the Bus Stop Bible studies.

The Bible studies may be sponsored by individuals, churches, businesses or organizations that are in agreement with values and principles of Bus Stop Bible Studies. We want to work closely with churches and other religious organizations, across the denominational spectrum, who profess Jesus Christ as Lord.

The vision of Bus Stop Bible Studies is to see the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly presented, in a way that will bring individuals into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ, bringing glory and honour to God the Father. This will be accomplished by displaying the Word of God in every transit system in Canada, the United States and beyond. We believe that God is a God of grace, love and righteousness, who wishes that all humanity be restored to a personal and loving relationship with Him.
